Why it matters? A change in the way that Google promotes Youtube videos. See for yourself. This will have two effects on your SEO. Firstly, it is a move away from keyword hijacking by putting a large video at the top of SERPs. Secondly, it will boost Youtube exposure allowing you to reach your audience better over your Youtube Channel. Finally, I can see this as a push to boost Google’s Youtube over its competitors such as Vimeo, Rap Genius, Pandora, Twitch TV and even Netflix. This has potential future opportunities for Google to promote more than just Music videos, but live content as well.
